Collected trip deposits are used to secure your spot on the trip, arrange accommodations, make reservations, book local transportation, and provide deposits to our vendors and wholesalers. Our trips begin at the scheduled time of your arrival at the airport in your destination city. We are not responsible for missed flights or connections. We will however, attempt to accommodate your delayed arrival. You will be asked to cover additional costs, if incurred.
Refund calculations: Your initial deposit is non-refundable. If your cancellation is received in writing 46 or more days before trip, you will receive a refund of trip fees paid over and above the total of the trip deposit plus $100 fee. If your cancellation is received in our office 45 days or less before trip there will be no refund of trip fees or deposit paid. In rare instances we will refund the trip fees (minus a $100 service charge) if we can fill your spot. However, we must sell all available spots on the trip before we can fill a potential cancellation. Please let us know as quickly as possible if it appears that you will have a change in plans so we can do everything possible to fill your spot. Refunds are provided if Walkabouts for Women must cancel the trip for any reason. Trip cancellation/trip interruption insurance is strongly encouraged! In order to avoid disappointment and expense if you need to cancel or interrupt your trip for any reason we urge you to purchase some type of insurance. You may purchase coverage through your own insurance company or through a travel agent, as well as companies such as: Insure My Trip Travel Guard Travelex There are many other insurance companies available for this service.
